Michael Paramo is a Mexican-American Ph.D. in Social Justice who was born on the unceded territories of the Tongva in 1993. He created AZE (azejournal.com) in 2016 and Decolonial Visions (decolonialvisions.com) in 2026. His writings are cited in the academic journals Sexualities, Southern Cultures, Communication Education, Social Text, Popular Communication, and the Journal of Folklore Research, among others.
